About
I came up with never.forget.it! as a fun way to record diary events and be reminded about them by email. It is a tool for people like me who have a dozen or so important dates to remember every month, and who would benefit greatly from the occasional email prompt.

Calendars are not exactly breaking news, of course. I have one on my cell phone, one on my laptop, another on my Palm, and even a Filofax gathering dust somewhere at the back of a drawer. They're okay, but I don't use them to organise my life. Why is that? When I talked about this with friends, we decided that the problem with normal calendars is that they don't help you to co-ordinate an event, nor do they help you to remember it. They just record it.

We decided that an online calendar should work a bit harder than that:

  1. For a start it should let people share information about an event before it takes place, using email to communicate key details to invitees, and to circulate changes of plan.
  2. Secondly, it should automatically send email reminders to everybody during the run-up period, at intervals which the organiser of the event can set him or herself.
  3. Thirdly, it should provide a forum for everybody to discuss the event, and to share their memories and photos of it, after it is over.

Think of never.forget.it! as a diary, a conference call, a Post-It note, and a photo album rolled into one, and you won't be far out!

If you like the concept, give it a try. It's free, it works, and if you're at all like us, you'll pretty soon wonder how you ever coped without it!
